Michael Chovan-Dalton’s podcast #
Sat down for a one hour catch-up conversation with Michael yesterday on his long-running podcast, Real Photo Show. We had done something similar back in September of 2019 when I was still fresh to New Mexico on Episode 100. A lot has changed in both my life in New Mexico and my photography practice and thoughts on where I’m going with it. A timely conversation.

On top of almost 20 years of our friendship, there’s another connection I have to the podcast. I was featured in Episode 2 back in July of 2015 and went on to co-host with Michael for the next two years. I also played guitar on the early theme music along with Giancarlo Roma. I was delighted to hear that Michael’s son Matteo has recorded the new themes. Remarkably, Michael has released nearly 230 episodes to date. It’s a real treasure trove of interviews. Looking over the episode list, I see some photographers whose work I only recently became aware of that have already sat down with Michael.
